No man can come to me , except...

"We pursue God because, and only because , He has first put an urge within us that spurs us to the pursuit. "No man can come to me, " said our Lord, "except the Father which hath sent me draw him, " and it is by this very prevenient drawing that God takes from us every vestige of credit for the act of coming. The impulse to pursue God originates with God, but the outworking of that impulse is our following hard after Him; and all the time that we are pursuing Him we are already in His hand."

Great commentary on the verse that goes something like.. "No one can come to the Father unless the Father draws Him and all those who come to the Father will in no wise be cast out."

This is one of the great things about being found wrought in God (John 3:21) is that we get credited with the good deeds we do even though they are all of the Lord.

Romans 4: ... the man to whom God credits righteousness to apart from works.

Hello Doug
I am new here.
Great blog, I love it! It is always refreshing to find like minded Christians. A.W Tozer was the first author that turned me on to reading, and reading theological literature.
Thank you for both the blog and post.
God bless you much.
Soli Deo Gloria
