Edmund "the Just"

I couldn't help but see the doctrine of justification and imputation in the movie, "The Chronicles of Narnia". Specifically in the character of Edmund, who betrayed his siblings and was tempted by the white witch with an endless supply of Turkish Delight. However, Aslan made a transaction where he was able to sacrifice himself for Edmund and take upon himself Edmunds transgression. Then at the end of the movie, Edmund is receiving his crown and he is called Edmund "The Just". I love it! I couldn't help but see myself in Edmund and Jesus Christ in Aslan. Edmund's transgression was imputed to Aslan and Aslan's righteousness was imputed to Edmund. That is a picture of the Gospel!

2 Cor 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
